Why medicine? Choosing the perfect combination of four medical schools for UCAS.
The reasons you are interested in medicine will in themselves help direct you towards the medical school best suited to you. We will run through the course structures of the UK medical schools and highlight the most important differences that will help you in final decisions
Personal statement: making it personal
The basic template for a personal statement is important for medicine and there are some tips we have picked up from our experiences that we will share. However, all medical students will be including work experience and extra-curricular activities but we will help demonstrate how we made ours stand out from the thousands of other applicants. We also hold personal statement clinics during lunch breaks, offering bespoke and individualised advice on your personal statement.

Understanding the NHS structure
Having a solid understanding of the structure of the NHS and the career path of a doctor is important for any prospective medical student but even more so in the current climate with huge political & economical debates ongoing in this area.

Workbook and Q&A session
The entire 2 day course will be structured in a course workbook with all the information you need including an area to note down questions you may have as we go along. Then, at the end of the course there will be an open Q&A session and an opportunity to ask questions 1 on 1.
Post course resources and Q&A session
After the course, a series of post course resources will be available to help you research special topics of interest and prepare for the interviews ahead. There will also be a fortnight window where you can ask any questions you may have via email or telephone as you prepare your application.
